Dr. Kirti Chopra, DDS- Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia

Dental problems rarely arrive one at a time. Worn teeth, failing restorations, a bite that has shifted, gaps that were not there ten years ago, these usually share a cause, and treating them separately tends to mean treating them again later.
Dr. Chopra’s clinical focus is on finding that cause first. Below are the situations she most often treats and the training behind each.

Worn, Chipped, or Shortened Teeth

Changes in tooth length or shape can signal underlying bite stress. Treatment begins by understanding what caused the wear and how to restore lasting function.

Wear is usually a bite problem before it is an esthetic one. Teeth that are flattening, chipping at the edges, or looking shorter than they used to are typically telling you something about how the upper and lower teeth meet, and rebuilding them without addressing that means watching the new work wear down the same way.

Dr. Chopra's postgraduate work at the Kois Center, where she graduated with honors, centers on occlusion and how bite forces distribute across a restored mouth. Every restorative plan she builds accounts for it.

Gaps, Black Triangles, and Worn Enamel

Small spaces and enamel changes can affect overall balance and proportion. Conservative treatment can refine these areas while preserving healthy tooth structure.

Not every esthetic concern needs a crown or a veneer. Bioclear, an injection-molded composite system Dr. Chopra is trained in, closes black triangles, reshapes teeth, and restores worn or damaged enamel while leaving healthy tooth structure intact.

Where a conservative approach can meet the goal, she prefers it. Some concerns that would once have called for full-coverage restorations can now be addressed with bonded composite instead.

Changing the Appearance of Your Smile

Esthetic changes are planned around your natural tooth proportions, facial features, and existing dental work to create a result that feels cohesive and refined.

Esthetic treatment is planned within a restorative framework; tooth form, proportion, existing dental work, and how the teeth function together all shape the result, alongside what you actually want changed.

Dr. Chopra is an Accreditation Candidate with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a credential requiring a written examination followed by clinical cases submitted for peer review.

Crowded, Spaced, or Shifting Teeth

Tooth position influences appearance, bite stability, and long-term wear. Careful planning helps improve alignment while supporting healthy function.

Where teeth sit affects more than appearance; it affects how they wear, how the bite loads, and how long restorative work lasts. Dr. Chopra is an Invisalign Pearl Provider, and plans aligner treatment with function in view alongside appearance: teeth moved into positions that work, not only positions that look straight.

Alignment is also frequently the first step in a larger plan, moving teeth into position so that restorative work can be more conservative than it would otherwise need to be.

Missing Teeth

Replacing a tooth is about restoring more than the visible space. The surrounding teeth, bone, bite, and long-term stability all guide the treatment approach.

Replacing a missing tooth involves more than filling the space. Implant planning accounts for the bite, the neighboring and opposing teeth, the condition of the remaining dentition, esthetics, and where the restoration fits in the overall plan. Dr. Chopra treats implant cases as part of a comprehensive plan rather than as isolated procedures.

Extensive or Aging Dental Work

Older or extensive dental work often requires a broader perspective. Existing restorations, bite relationships, tooth condition, and function are evaluated together before treatment is planned.

When multiple teeth, older restorations, bite relationships, and function all have to be considered together, the plan has to be built as a whole rather than tooth by tooth. Full mouth rehabilitation draws on every part of Dr. Chopra's training at once: diagnosis, occlusion, restorative dentistry, biomaterials, and esthetics.

These are the cases she is most often asked to see, including by other dentists.

Comprehensive Examination

Underneath all of the above is the same first step. Dr. Chopra evaluates teeth, gums, bite, and airway together, identifies what is driving the findings, and explains the connections before any treatment is discussed.

Smile Design Studio by KC is a solo practice- Dr. Chopra performs the examination and the treatment herself.
